What is Primary Care?
“Primary care” is your first stop for medical care, commonly referred to as your healthcare home. Primary care providers (PCPs) are trained to prevent, diagnose, and treat conditions you may have throughout your life span.
Typically, if you need general care, check-ups, or have any type of health concern, you can seek treatment from a primary care provider. In some cases, your PCP may refer you to a specialist for more specific treatment, depending upon your needs and condition.
No matter your age, race, or background – our primary care providers look forward to seeing you at our newly renovated clinic located next to Hemphill County Hospital. For more information or to schedule an appointment, contact us or use our online appointment scheduler.

What is Preventative Care?
Preventative healthcare includes annual check-ups, age-appropriate screenings, and patient education and counseling to detect possible health-related problems early when they are most treatable and to prevent unforeseen illness or disease in the future. Routine preventative care can lead to improved quality of life and ultimately, increased life expectancy.
Our mission is to empower patients to take an active role in their care plan by partnering with their primary care provider. By listening to, informing, and involving patients in their care, we can support our patients in making the most effective healthcare decisions that will result in better health and a heightened sense of well-being. As our patients strive to obtain their goals, we will work alongside them on their journey to achieving optimal health—providing attentive, personalized care that is meaningful and valuable to each of our patients.
