What is Primary Care?

“Primary care” is your first stop for medical care, commonly referred to as your healthcare home. Primary care providers (PCPs) are trained to prevent, diagnose, and treat conditions you may have throughout your life span.

Typically, if you need general care, check-ups, or have any type of health concern, you can seek treatment from a primary care provider. In some cases, your PCP may refer you to a specialist for more specific treatment, depending upon your needs and condition.

No matter your age, race, or background – our primary care providers look forward to seeing you at our newly renovated clinic located next to Hemphill County Hospital. For more information or to schedule an appointment, contact us or use our online appointment scheduler.
