Mesa View
Aging is not an illness. It is a normal progression that begins at birth and continues throughout our lives. While the physical body may change due to an acute illness or health condition, most often our personalities, emotions and beliefs remain the same, creating histories and shared experiences that bind us to our families, friends and the community. Recognizing these fundamental dynamics is an integral part of the care and support our residents receive at Mesa View Senior Living.
Our beautiful living center provides more than care and support. We provide a relaxed environment that combines healthcare with hospitality to ensure our residents continue to find enjoyment and comfort in their surroundings.
Not only is the environment important to our residents' well-being, but to family and friends as they gather in various social settings. A good cup of coffee, a sweet treat, good conversation among friends, a shared prayer, or a good laugh. Mesa View Senior Living's environment has been designed to allow and encourage all these natural moments along life's journey.

Is it Time for Assisted Living?
The search for a senior living home is often brought about by a major life change, and the need for transition is then realized. We recognize many seniors don’t require a daily nurse – just a little help with everyday tasks.
Many people don’t understand the difference between nursing homes, independent senior living and assisted living communities. Fortunately, the options are broader and more appealing than ever before, but making the right choice may be confusing. We will gladly offer our assistance in deciding if the time is right for assisted living. But first, how would you answer these questions?
Do you find it difficult to regularly cook?
Do you need help with weekly chores such as cleaning or laundry?
Are you tired of paying utilities, taxes, and insurance on your home?
Do you need help with lawn care or home repairs?
Does your vehicle receive regularly-scheduled maintenance?
Do you need help with dressing or bathing?
Are you able to shop for groceries on your own?
Are you less motivated to prepare healthy meals?
Do you require assistance from friends or family for other daily needs?
Are there trip hazards in your home?
Are there stairs without handrails in your home?
Do you have properly-working smoke detectors?
Are you able to seek shelter in case of an emergency?
Do you find yourself avoiding social gatherings?
Does driving make you nervous?
Do you feel sad more than usual?
Are you feeling lonely or isolated?
Do you ever feel like a burden to your family or friends?
Why Mesa View Senior Living?
Mesa View Senior Living’s goal is to be the best provider of healthcare services in our community. Our core leaders in the organization have spent their entire careers in long-term care, representing collective management expertise of scores of years. Long-term care is not new to us; it is an area in which we have been very successful for a long time.
As a part of the Hemphill County Hospital District, we’re big enough to be professional, but small enough to be personal. Mesa View Senior Living’s structure means we can devote resources to track and implement the latest innovations in healthcare delivery. We can assure compliance with safety and employee training standards, among others. We have the resources and knowledge to adapt to change in the fluid environment of Medicare, Medicaid and insurance regulations.

The Panhandle’s best-kept secret for Independent Senior Living.
The Cottages

The Mesa View campus offers independent senior living cottages in addition to the assisted living community and long-term care communities, The Cottages free you of the hassles of general home care, and allow you to focus on retirement at its best. The Cottages living includes two meals daily for one person (or one meal daily for two people) in Mesa View Assisted Living’s Dining Room, with the option of purchasing additional meals.
