Is it Time for Assisted Living?
The search for a senior living home is often brought about by a major life change, and the need for transition is then realized. We recognize many seniors don’t require a daily nurse – just a little help with everyday tasks.
Many people don’t understand the difference between nursing homes, independent senior living and assisted living communities. Fortunately, the options are broader and more appealing than ever before, but making the right choice may be confusing. We will gladly offer our assistance in deciding if the time is right for assisted living. But first, how would you answer these questions?
Do you find it difficult to regularly cook?
Do you need help with weekly chores such as cleaning or laundry?
Are you tired of paying utilities, taxes, and insurance on your home?
Do you need help with lawn care or home repairs?
Does your vehicle receive regularly-scheduled maintenance?

Do you need help with dressing or bathing?
Are you able to shop for groceries on your own?
Are you less motivated to prepare healthy meals?
Do you require assistance from friends or family for other daily needs?

Are there trip hazards in your home?
Are there stairs without handrails in your home?
Do you have properly-working smoke detectors?
Are you able to seek shelter in case of an emergency?

Do you find yourself avoiding social gatherings?
Does driving make you nervous?
Do you feel sad more than usual?
Are you feeling lonely or isolated?
Do you ever feel like a burden to your family or friends?
