Nursing Department
Everything our nurses do is focused on one thing: patient and family-centered care. Our diverse and dynamic team of nurses is supported by a strong group of nurse leaders who encourage professional growth and foster a healthy work environment. We deliver excellent care through interdisciplinary and leadership collaboration, promoting a safe, positive, knowledgeable, creative, and trusting practice environment.
Nursing care at Hemphill County Hospital is provided to patients of all ages in inpatient, outpatient, and emergency settings in collaboration with other members of the healthcare team.
The department supports the practice of nursing through a commitment to clinical excellence. HCH's Nursing Staff is committed to the values of family-centered care and acknowledges that emotional, social, and developmental support are an integral component of healthcare. This approach to providing family-centered care empowers families and fosters independence; supports family caregiving and decision-making; respects family choices; builds on family strengths; and involves families in all aspects of the planning, delivery, and evaluation of healthcare services.
